Learn how to manage common injuries and medical emergencies, both on and off the mat Basic first aid is useful knowledge not only for your own health and the health of those around you, but especially important for instructors. We will also review how to navigate the health care systems in NYC.
The seminar will be led by Black Belts Eda Chao and Fabienne Laraque. Eda has been working at a community health center as a pediatrician for 20 years. Fabienne Laraque is an internal medicine and preventive medicine physician. She is a public health specialist and medical epidemiologist who worked primarily for the City of NY on infectious disease control, emergency response and programs and health system development.
